《Love》

 The girl felt the cool, crisp air brush softly across her face as she watched the long winter begin to melt.  She felt warmth from the breath of her dearest friend as it danced along her arm.  

The girl placed her hand gently on her horse's brow, between her dark chocolate eyes. The girl bent over and looked into her dark, loving eyes as the horse gently nudged her nose into the girl.  Her horse kept her nose  pressed tightly against the girl, as she wrapped her arms around the gentle curves of her horse's face. She never wanted to leave.  She felt safe. I mean why wouldn't she, she had used this beautiful animal as a safe haven for years. 

She stood silently and began to remember the old times. The time when she felt like the world couldn't hurt her.  The time when the world was composed of the girl and her horse. 

Quietly he approached the girl from behind. He saw her face and wondered what thoughts flowed through every corner of the girl's mind. He came up behind the girl and wrapped his arms around her. He pulled her in close and just held her. 

The girl's memories continued to fill her head. She didn't want to leave her safe haven. And then his arms wrapped around her as he pulled her in close. She laid her head on his chest and she listened to the strong, steady beat of his heart. Her love had come for her, but she didn't want to abandon her life long friend.  She just couldn't...

So instead they stayed... he stood by her side and she introduced him to her safe haven. And then they stayed, each had a hand resting on the beautiful animal.

The moment was endless and completely perfect.
